Who We Are
We are a group of diverse people united in our commitment to…
Reach the world one person at a time, as we learn to think, love, and live like Jesus, and to reproduce that in the lives of others.
We seek to be in real community together, where it’s safe to be known and walk alongside each other as we pursue Jesus. When we are in genuine relationships with others who are being guided by Jesus, as revealed in the Bible, God transforms us. He takes what is broken in us and makes it whole. As we experience our own love relationship with God, our heart for the needs of others cannot remain indifferent. As a church family, we are motivated to move toward the people and needs in our community with love and compassion.
We believe God is at work in us, as well as through us, to positively impact our community, region, and world.
Rolling Hills Community Church began in 1975 as a vision in the heart of a young seminary student named Dale Ebel. God gave him a vision that he would someday establish a church that would reach thousands of people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. A place where men, women and children could find salvation in Jesus Christ and be led to grow in Christian maturity. A place where they could find the life mission for which God had created them.
Rolling Hills held its first service in the Oregon Bank building on Easter Sunday 1978 with 120 people. And in the months and years that followed, the congregation would find themselves riding a spiritual wave only God could send. After meeting in homes and school gyms for six years, the congregation miraculously raised $685,000 and construction was completed on the Rolling Hills church home in 1984.
In 1995, Rolling Hills reached a pivotal turning point as it refined its vision for the future. Pastor Dale invited the congregation to pray Isaiah 43:5, asking God to bring 10,000 people from the North, South, East and West into the Rolling Hills family. By 1999, weekly attendance had grown by 30% and the number of weekend services grew to four. More and more families began calling Rolling Hills their church home.
Our Mission & Vision
Reach the world, one person at a time, as we learn to think, love, and live like Jesus, and reproduce that in the lives of others.
Rolling Hills has always emphasized small groups as a means to accomplish our mission. Community Discipleship focuses on creating and encouraging small groups to be on mission together within their community, sacrificially serving, sharing the love of Jesus, and becoming disciples who make disciples who also make disciples.
