What is worship?
The Hebrew word for worship (shachah) literally means to bow down before a superior being. We worship God by submitting ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God and are daily being changed by his word. Our gathered worship as one body in Christ, is fully surrendered to God as we place Him as our ultimate value. We Gather in worship through music as followers of Jesus Christ.
While we use various elements to worship God in Gathered worship, music allows us to give rhythm, melody, harmony, color, beauty, power and light where words alone fail. Through artistry, we help our community of forgetful, broken people remember the One Triune God who made us, loves us, saves us and remakes us.
Why do we worship?
Ephesians 5:19 calls followers of Jesus Christ to address one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.
Singing is the second most commanded Christian practice in the Bible. (Prayer is the first, in case you were wondering). Since God considers singing such an important part of a life of being transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we take great care in fostering that value at Rolling Hills. We have a deep desire to see our church alive with worship in spirit and Truth as Jesus talked about in John 4.
About RH Worship & Production
We rely on an incredible team of people with servant hearts and a desire to see the gospel displayed through music and production. Our aim is to creatively and artistically present the message of the Gospel.
What is Production?
RH Production is committed to delivering the message of the Gospel through technology with Audio, Video & Lighting. Each week our goal is to produce a seamless production that places Jesus as center stage while we work backstage.
Volunteer Roles & Expectations
Every Volunteer within RH Worship is expected to live according to God’s will and purpose, by being continually transformed by the Word of God. We encourage and respect each other’s differences, with the common goal in mind to point our church attendees to Christ.
Every musician, vocalist and artist present on stage each Sunday are leading worship. That is our first and most sacred role as artists in a community of faith. You are a worshiper first. It is through the lens of this vital, holy responsibility that the Rolling Hills Worship Arts Ministry carefully considers whom God has prepared and called to serve as a volunteer within Worship Arts and Production.
