FOOD, SHELTER & HEALTHCARE

When the basic needs of life are missing or lacking, we are unable to thrive mentally, emotionally or spiritually. We often take for granted when our food, shelter and healthcare needs are sufficiently met. All of us have experienced life struggles through loss, family issues, financial burdens or personal challenges. When these problems arise, we often need extra support to help us get through the challenges and see hope on the horizon.

THE SHELTER

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS | NOVEMBER – MARCH

In collaboration with several churches across Washington County, Rolling Hills works to provide overnight shelter every winter. The shelter opens every Wednesday night from the beginning of November to the end of March. The shelter provides a warm and safe place for people to sleep at night in place, away from the cold and the elements. In addition to a place to sleep, for our overnight guests we provide a hot meal, a shower and laundry facilities. The Shelter will also try to be open on nights with severe weather. Volunteers and overnight guests must be 18 or older.

Email shelter@rollinghills.org for more information and to learn how to volunteer.
